Anna Hunt is a healer, modern educator and bestselling author whose passion is transformation and the limitless potential of human beings. She understands transformation because she has been through it herself many, many times. She knows what it feels like to hit a wall with life, and how that impact can manifest as physical illness, burnout, extreme fatigue and overwhelm. She understands ennui, sadness and the deep dissatisfaction that comes with a life that is at odds with the person we want to be. She also knows what it feels like to have nowhere to turn for help.   

Her own professional and personal turning point came in 2003. At the time, she was a senior editor at a national newspaper having completed her MA in history at Cambridge. She loved her work, but chronic stress resulted in debilitating health challenges, creative blocks and a complete questioning of her life choices up to that point. A  three-month sabbatical, which her medical doctor had to pressurise Anna to take, inspired her to start researching alternative health traditions in earnest. She studied quantum physics with a teacher based in Australia, therapeutic visualisation with a Freudian analyst in London and travelled to Peru on what initially seemed like a whim. There she met a Peruvian shaman – an eminent archaeologist turned healer – who cured her health issues and explained their causation to her in language she could understand. 

Fully recovered, he offered her a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study with him, one-to-one. So began an  exceptionally rare two-way commitment between an indigenous healer and his unlikely student - a journey that saw Anna visit Peru at least once a year for 20 years and which she documented in The Shaman in Stilettos, her bestselling memoir published by Penguin. That relationship ended when her mentor pronounced Anna a Doña, a master healer. Anna continues to visit Peru annually, but now it is to lead transformational retreats for select groups of clients.

Over the past two decades, Anna has worked with thousands of leaders, private clients and corporations around the world including Greenpeace and multinational investment banks. Combining the very best of ancient and modern healing techniques, she takes her clients on a journey that reconnects them to complete health physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. My work gives them the confidence to express their full potential through living multi-faceted and fulfilling lives that are in alignment with their purpose and their joy. 

As a single healer, Anna has a limited reach, but as her clients shine, they inspire positivity and kindness within their circles and networks.
