Wound Care Focused
Demystifying Wound Infection: a clinical perspective of biofilm
60 min
Matrix Metalloproteases (MMPs) play a key role in major processes of normal wound healing. If left unchecked, chronically elevated levels prevent wounds from healing. Clinicians can regulate MMPs in the wound bed using basic principles of good wound healing. This session will provide strategies to support the positive functions of MMPs while reducing or eliminating MMPs’ harmful effects.
