Hair Styles and Scalp Treatments for Patients of Color

Scalp and hair disorders in patients of color often require culturally informed care. APPs will learn how conditions like seborrheic dermatitis, traction alopecia, and scalp psoriasis present in diverse populations. Faculty will discuss how traditional hair care practices intersect with treatment decisions. Strategies for respectful communication and personalized treatment will be emphasized.
