Nour Chouman
MD

Nour Chouman M.D, is a young researcher enthusiastic about preventive cardiology, and leveraging digital solutions to improve access to healthcare. Nour graduated from medical school in 2020 from the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon. During her medical training she volunteered with several NGOs such as Doctors Without Borders, to advocate for health equity. She joined Tulane University’s TRIAD research institute (Tulane Research Innovation for Arrhythmia Discovery) as a research fellow in February 2022.
Under the mentorship of Dr Nassir Marrouche, her current research work with Tulane University’s TRIAD institute, focuses on implementing digital solutions to address cardiovascular health disparities in Louisiana. Her main interests include patient compliance to digital health devices, comprehensive cardiovascular risk management, as well as outcome improvement for Atrial fibrillation patients. Nour has presented her research abstracts in AHA’s Scientific Sessions 2022 meeting, and Heart Rhythm Society’s HRX 2022 digital health innovation meeting, and is scheduled to present her research in the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society’s 2023 meetings.
