Jeff Ondocsin

Jeff Ondocsin is an ethnographer on the Heroin in Transition project based out of University of California, San Francisco. This mixed-methods NIH/NIDA R01 examines the social, medical and public health consequences of changes in the US heroin supply. Prior to this position, Ondocsin worked on an ethnographic project studying street-level heroin and cocaine selling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has published qualitative findings in multiple publications examining current trends in injection drug use in the United States. Ondocsin holds Masters Degrees in Eastern Classics and Liberal Arts from St. John’s College and is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas.
