Dr. Wientjes received her Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook University in 2025. She also holds a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Dr. Wientjes has been practicing wound care since 1996 and has been a certified wound Specialist (CWS) through the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) since 1999. Having served as a past President for the American Board of Wound Management, she remains active on the Board and is currently the Exam Chair, overseeing the development and administration of interprofessional wound certification exams. Dr. Wientjes is a Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Neumann University in Aston, Pennsylvania. She has lectured nationally and internationally on topics including debridement, biophysical modalities in wound management, and integrative approaches to healing.
