Beth received her bachelor’s from Purdue University in Movement and Sports Science in 1991, followed by her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in 1993. Beth’s clinical practice has focused on wound management for over 30 years and she is a board certified Clinical Wound Specialist by the American Board of Wound Management since 2010. After working in academia for 8 years at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Beth joined IU Health in 2008 as part of the Physical Therapy Wound Team. She helped develop their Diabetic Foot Ulcer program which includes customTotal Contact Casting and all forms of offloading. In 2013, Beth stepped into a leadership and now serves as the Director of the Comprehesive Wound Center, Inpatient Physical Therapy Team and IU Health Fishers Rehabiliation Services.
In addition to her clinical work, Beth has served in numerous leadership roles for both the Nevada and Indiana Chapters of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management. Most recently, she is serving as the chair for the Academy’s Clinical Practice Guideline Taskforce on the Diabetic Foot Ulcer. The Diabetic Foot Ulcer Beyond Wound Closure: Clinical Practice Guideline were published in Jan 2025 and she is now guiding the development of clinical resources for CPG implementation.
