John Nguyen

John Nguyen, M.D., is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He specializes in the treatment of eyelid and orbital deformities, thyroid eye disease, tumors and trauma around the eye. He serves as a professor of Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Cancer and the director of the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Program at West Virginia University. He is the director of Neuro-ophthalmology, Oculofacial Plastic & Orbital Surgery.

Dr. Nguyen completed the Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Fellowship Program at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School in 2009. He completed the Ophthalmology Residency Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2007, where he also completed his internship in 2004 and earned his medical degree in 2003. He is a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a member of the North American Society of Academic Orbital Surgeon.
