Saad Atiq, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and serves as a Genitourinary Medical Oncologist in the Department of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Atiq joined Mount Sinai after completing fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute. He completed internal medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center and graduated from medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Atiq is dedicated to providing his patients with compassionate, evidence-informed care. His research interests involve investigating mechanisms of resistance to existing treatments in bladder cancer and prostate cancer. This work is then used to identify novel therapeutic strategies that may be investigated in clinical trials to try overcome resistance and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
