Elif Yilmaz

Elif Yilmaz, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in indolent and aggressive lymphomas, cellular therapies, and bone marrow transplantation.
Dr. Yilmaz earned her medical degree from Istanbul University in Turkey. She completed her internal medicine residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, followed by fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at George Washington University and Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. She co-founded the UTSW Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology Group in collaboration with Children’s Health Dallas to expand clinical trial access and improve care for AYA patients.
She is also a recipient of the UTSW–Parkland Health Equity Scholars Award, through which she leads initiatives to improve clinical trial access and address structural barriers to enrollment for underserved populations.
