Dr Awan is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology of the Department of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He also leads the Lymphoid Malignancies Program at UT Southwestern. He recieved his residency training from University of Pittsburgh followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology from the Ohio State University. His clinical and translational research interests involves evaluating novel therapies for lymphoid malignancies especially chronic lymphocytic leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphomas.
