Tony Hayes is a distinguished healthcare professional known for his expertise in emergency and trauma medicine. With a career spanning over 30 years and encompassing various roles and responsibilities, Tony has made significant contributions to the field. Currently serving as the Director of TraumaOne Flight and Ground Services at UF Health Jacksonville, as well as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner at Ascension St. Vincent's, he continues to impact patient care and medical education. Tony holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Emergency Medicine, and currently practices with Vituity in the Emergency Department at Ascension St. Vincents, Jacksonville. His dedication to excellence is reflected in his numerous national certifications, including Certified Emergency Nurse, Certified Trauma Nurse, and National Registered Paramedic. Moreover, he holds the esteemed designation of Flight Paramedic Certified. Throughout his career, Tony has demonstrated a commitment to service and professional development. His journey began as a Volunteer Firefighter before transitioning into the role of a U.S Army Flight Paramedic. With a strong foundation in emergency medical care, he further expanded his expertise as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and later served as a United States Special Operations Medical Instructor. Tony's experience also extends beyond domestic borders, having served as an International Tactical Medic and Instructor.
Tony has also played pivotal leadership roles within the medical community, including positions as a Flight Paramedic/Nurse for TraumaOne before advancing into the position of manager, and subsequently promoted to director. He has also served as a Paramedic Instructor at prestigious institutions such as the Florida Medical Training Institute and Camsen Career Institute. Tony is currently an affiliate faculty for PHTLS, TECC, and AMLS for the NAEMT.
