Dr. Jonathan Andrew Aun is the Director of Noninvasive Cardiovascular Imaging, Co-Director of Clinical Echocardiography, and Core Clinical Faculty for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). A Major in the U.S. Air Force, he has served in uniform since 2007 and currently practices as a cardiovascular imaging specialist and clinical cardiologist in the Air Force Medical Corps. He completed his fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, was a clinical collaborator at the National Institutes of Health, and trained as an advanced cardiovascular imaging fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. In his current role, Dr. Aun leads advanced cardiac CT, MRI, and echocardiography programs at BAMC- the DOD’s largest hospital and sole Level I Trauma Center. He partners with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, and allied health teams to deliver collaborative care for military members, retirees, and dependents. Dr. Aun is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and contributes nationally as a writing committee member for the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology self assessment programs. His research interests include advanced imaging in cardiomyopathies, structural heart disease, cardiorheumatology, and risk-guided patient management.
