Victor Czerkasij, Doctor of NP, DCNP, FNP-C, CWCP, MSN, MA, is the senior provider at Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Dermatology, PC, a group of ten offices and 40 providers serving Tennessee and Georgia for thirty years. He is professor and adjoint faculty at his alma maters Vanderbilt University; clinical instructor at Southern Adventist University; dermatology lecturer for Fitzgerald Health Education Associates (FHEA); and a Harvard Scholarship awardee in 1984. On the Editorial Advisory Board of the Nurse Practitioner Journal (NPJ), he also reviews dermatology submissions for the Journal for NP (JNP). He conducts original research primarily in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, works closely with the Society of Dermatology NP's (SDNP), and is the founder of the Dermatology NP site on Facebook with over 6,000 members. A member of a dozen advisory boards and committees, he played a role on APP national guidelines for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Dr. Czerkasij was recently recognized as one of fifty America's Influential NP's by the NPJ, and has traveled six times to Ukraine since the Russian invasion delivering dermatology lectures at medical universities; worked at burn and cancer centers providing care to civilians and soldiers; assisted in dermatology cases at several Children's Hospitals (K'yiv and L'viv), and has received several commendations and honors from the Ukrainian government and Ministry of Health for his assistance during this difficult and dangerous time. In between, Dr. Czerkasij leads tours to the Middle East, participates in amateur archeology, and proud of his hand-built outdoor wood-fired pizza oven.
