David Fudman, MD attended Brandeis University and completed medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He trained in internal medicine at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology, including advanced training in inflammatory bowel disease, at Beth Israel Deaconess/Harvard Medical School. He is a member of the faculty at UT Southwestern, where he directs the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic and serves as the quality officer for the Division of Digestive and Liver Disease. His research has centered on quality improvement and novel strategies when using advanced therapies to treat IBD. He co-chairs the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation REACH-IBD (Rising Educators Academics and Clinicians Helping IBD) Committee, serves on committees for the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology, and was named Physician of the Year by the North Texas and Oklahoma Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation in 2024.
