Jason Jones, MD, FACEP, FAEMS is board certified in EMS and Emergency Medicine and has served as EMS Division Chief for the University of Florida for the past 10 years. He is the Medical Director of Alachua County Fire Rescue, High Springs Fire Department, Newberry Fire Department, Santa Fe College's EMS programs, and UF's on-campus Gator EMS Response Unit. Since 2016, he has been Director of UF's ACGME-Accredited EMS Fellowship and the Game Day Medical Director for UF Football's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. He is the EMS Medical Director of UF Health's "Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit," the first mobile stroke ambulance in Florida. Nicknamed "Neuro One," it boasts a 16-slice CT scanner, thrombolytics, and live Tele-Neurology, and its crews have treated more than 2,000 neurologic emergencies since its 2023 launch.
