Mark Piehl is a pediatric critical care physician at WakeMed in Raleigh, NC, and Medical Director for WakeMed Children's Mobile Critical Care transport. He is also Founder and Chief Medical Officer of 410 Medical, a company focused on improving trauma resuscitation. He previously served as Medical Director of the WakeMed Children's Hospital. His clinical interests include trauma, shock, sepsis, airway management, ultrasound, and critical care transport. Mark teaches frequently on the pre-hospital management of trauma and critical illness, and has faculty appointments at the University of North Carolina and Duke University. He has numerous DoD grants funding the development of trauma resuscitation technology, and is a founding member of the SPARC Academy and the North Carolina Regional Prehospital Blood Coalition.
