Erik Gaull, NRP, CEM is a nationally recognized public safety/homeland security subject matter expert. He serves on the FirstNet Authority Board and as secretary of the International Association of Emergency Managers (USA Council), on the Executive Committee of the DHS Emergency Services Sector Coordinating Council, and as a member and former co-chair of the National Homeland Security Consortium. He is a Pro Board-certified Fire Service Instructor III. Erik is the longest-serving reserve officer in the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and a firefighter/paramedic (and the longest-serving responder) in the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department in Montgomery County, Maryland. In 2017, he received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama for his public safety volunteerism.
