Rommie Duckworth is an emergency responder, author, and educator with 30+ years of experience across career and volunteer fire departments, hospital systems, and private EMS. He serves as Chief of the Ridgefield (CT) Fire Department and directs the New England Center for Rescue and Emergency Medicine. His honors include the NAEMT Presidential Award, American Red Cross Hero Award, Sepsis Alliance Sepsis Hero Award, and the EMS 10 Innovators recognition. He is the author of “Duckworth on Education” and a contributor to chapters in 12+ EMS, fire, rescue, and medical textbooks, with 100+ published EMS and fire articles. As an NAEMT Board member and Chair of the Lighthouse Leadership National Mentor Program, he advances emergency service education and leadership nationwide.
