Intended Learners

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of behavioral health professionals, addiction professionals, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants/associates, nurse practitioners, and nurses.

Participants who complete the evaluation online within 1 year of the training will receive immediate documentation of credit. Continuing Education 

CME

In support of improving patient care, HMP Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians

HMP Education designates this enduring activity for 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Maintenance of Certification

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS)  and American Board of Pathology (ABPath) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABOS and ABPath MOC credit.

*Please note: Once a certificate has been claimed, physicians may elect to have credits submitted on their behalf to their licensing states and boards via additional fields that will appear within the Credit Submissions button page. Credits must be submitted through this process to be reported to the ABOS and ABPath. All diplomates will be asked to provide their name, birthdate, state of licensure, board name, board ID, and permission to report credits on the learner’s behalf.

Pharmacists 

This enduring, knowledge-based activity (Universal Activity Number JA0006201-0000-24-029-H01-P) has been approved for 6.00 contact hours (0.6 CEUs).

The certificate is not the official record of your participation in the activity. The official record of credit will be the information in the CPE Monitor system. Following ACPE Policy, HMP Education must transmit your claim to CPE Monitor within 60 days from the date you complete this CPE activity. HMP Education is not able to report your claimed credit after this 60-day period. Eligibility for pharmacy credit is contingent upon the successful completion of a post-test and/or evaluation for each activity or session attended.

Nurses

This continuing nursing education enduring activity awards 6.00 contact hours. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #13255, for 6.00 contact hours.

Nurse Practitioners

American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Physician Assistants/Associates 

AAPA

HMP Education has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award  AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with the AAPA CME Criteria. This enduring activity is designated for 6.00 AAPA Category 1 credits. Approval valid until February 2, 2025. PAs should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Psychologists 

APA LogoContinuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This enduring activity awards 6.00 CE credits.

Social Workers

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, HMP Education is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 6.00 general continuing education credits.
