Brian Schiro

Brian Schiro, MD, RPVI, FSIR is a vascular and interventional radiologist at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute in Miami, FL and is the medical director of the noninvasive vascular lab at Baptist Hospital of Miami. Dr. Schiro completed his fellowship training with Miami Vascular in vascular and interventional radiology in 2010 following his diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2004. Dr. Schiro now serves as the program director for the independent interventional radiology residency with Miami Vascular and is also the medical director for the medical sonography program at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Schiro serves on the IAC Vascular Testing Board of Directors as a representative of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). He has authored numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and his research interests include noninvasive imaging and diagnosis as well as peripheral vascular interventions.

Richard F. Neville, MD, FACS is currently the Chairman of the Department of Surgery, and, Associate Director of the INOVA Heart and Vascular Institute, as well as system Director of Vascular Services. Dr. Neville also has academic appointments as Professor of Medical Education, University of Virginia, and Clinical Professor of Surgery at George Washington University and. where he previously held the position as Professor of Surgery and Carole and Gene Ludwig Chief of Vascular Surgery. He also served as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Georgetown University for many years. Dr. Neville completed medical school at the University of Maryland and then general surgery residency at Georgetown University before moving on to a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in endovascular device development. Dr. Neville then completed a vascular surgery fellowship under the direction of Dr. Robert Hobson. Dr. Neville is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of many other societies including the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Neville is a national and international lecturer having published of over 150 manuscripts, 300 abstracts, 35 book chapters, and 200 invited lectures while remaining actively involved in research and the education of students, residents, fellows, and other physicians. He has consistently been named to the Best Doctors in America, Washingtonian Top Docs, and Who’s Who in the World. His clinical interests include lower extremity revascularization; wound healing, amputation prevention, carotid artery treatment for stroke prevention, as well as hemodialysis access.

Bulent Arslan, M.D., FSIR

Dr. Bulent Arslan is Professor and Chair of the Department of Interventional Radiology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He earned his medical degree from Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey, and completed his radiology residency and vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.
Before joining Rush in 2012, Dr. Arslan held faculty positions at the University of South Florida, University of Virginia, and University of Arizona. His clinical expertise includes aortic and peripheral vascular interventions, complex portal and iliocaval reconstructions, and endovascular tibio-pedal recanalization for critical limb ischemia.
Dr. Arslan has led the growth of the Rush IR program into one of the most comprehensive in the nation, now recognized as the third independent Department of Interventional Radiology in the United States. An active researcher and educator, he has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and lectures extensively worldwide. He is a Fellow of SIR and a member of AHA, RSNA, CIRSE, and AMA.

Mary Costantino MD, FSIR is a Interventional Radiologist in Portland, Oregon. She is the Owner/Operator at Advanced Vascular Centers, Portland and co-owner of Advanced Vascular Centers, Eugene. She has been in the outpatient arena since 2011. Her practice is focused on llimb salvage, uterine fibroids and venous disease.

Parag J. Patel MD MS FSIR is a Professor of Radiology and Surgery in the Division of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a Past-President of the Society of Interventional Radiology (2023-24). He serves as Vice Chair of Education for the Department and is the Program Director for the Interventional Radiology Residency at MCW. Dr. Patel has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences and has authored several book chapters in the field of Interventional Radiology. He serves on the Board of Directors for the VIVA Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the field of vascular medicine and intervention through education, research, advocacy, and collaboration. He has participated in numerous clinical research projects and national trials. His areas of interest include evaluation and endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease, complex aortic disease, venous disease as well as embolization therapies.

Dr. John S. Pellerito is Vice Chairman of the Department of Radiology, the Program Director for the Radiology Residency Program and Director of the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory at Northwell Health and Director of the Body Imaging Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital. He is Professor of Radiology and Science Education at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and is co-director of the SONICS ultrasound program for medical students at the University. Dr. Pellerito graduated from New York University before receiving his M.D. from Albany Medical College. He served as faculty at Yale-New Haven Hospital before his current positions at Northwell Health. He is the co-editor of Introduction to Vascular Ultrasonography, in its 7th edition. He is author of multiple original articles and book chapters, and his current research interests include developing new imaging strategies for OB/GYN and cardiovascular diseases including 3D imaging and ultrasound contrast agents. Dr. Pellerito is in great demand as a speaker both nationally and internationally and currently holds multiple editorial appointments including Radiology, RadioGraphics and Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. He was a board examiner for the American Board of Radiology. He serves on the Executive Committee of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for vascular testing (IAC). Dr. Comerota is a board certified vascular surgeon. He joined Inova as the Medical Director of the Eastern Region Heart and Vascular Institute, with over 36 years of clinical experience. Dr. Comerota served as a faculty member at Temple University Health Sciences Center where he became Chief of Vascular Surgery, Professor of Surgery, Program Director of General and Vascular Surgery, President of the Medical Staff and President of the Medical Alumni Association. He also served as Director of the Jobst Vascular Institute, ProMedica Toledo Hospital from 2002-2015 and Executive Director of Research, ProMedica Health System and Jobst Vascular Institute from 2015- January 2017. In May of 2017 Dr. Comerota accepted his present positioin of Medical Director of the Eastern Region of the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute.

Dr. Comerota has been a major contributor to the development of some of the newest forms of treatment for vascular disease and has been the principal investigator of seven major national trials and a co-investigator of numerous others. Dr Comerota has been presiden of four major surgical societies, has written or edited 7 text books and authored/coauthored over 400 publication.

Yolanda Bryce, MD, RPVI completed her Medical School training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2009, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2014, a subspecialty training in Breast Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 2015, and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute in 2016. She joined the faculty at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in August 2016 where she pioneers minimally invasive cryoablation technique to treat locoregional disease in patients that are poor surgical candidates or refuse surgery and works in a multidisciplinary team to expand treatment options for patients with metastatic breast cancer through interventional oncology. She also specializes in vascular disease in oncologic patients, boarded through the American Board of Vascular Medicine and holding a Registered Physician Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) certification. In 2018, she became the founding director of MSKCC’s Noninvasive Vascular Imaging Center and started the institution’s PAD program improving mobility and quality of life of some of the most vulnerable patients – those with both cancer and life-limiting PAD. Her PAD screening trial examines the prevalence and disparities of PAD in at-risk cancer patients.

Dr. Watch received her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in 2002. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico and her vascular surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is board certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Watch's training involved a multidisciplinary approach to vascular disease, focusing both on open and endovascular therapies. She maintains a strong interest in carotid disease, endovascular aneurysm repair, endovascular and open treatment of critical limb ischemia, varicose vein treatment, TCAR procedures and dialysis access. She joined Miami Vascular Specialists in 2011.

Dr. Muck is also the Chief of the Section of Vascular Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital. He is the Site Director for multiple FDA trials at GSH. Dr. Muck has been a speaker and/or moderator at many national and international meetings. He has written and published articles in peer reviewed journals and currently is a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular Surgery. He has authored several book chapters as well. He serves as the Past President for the Midwestern Vascular Surgery Society. He is the Treasurer of the American Venous Forum.
