Dr. Blair Coleman is a behavioral epidemiologist with extensive experience in population health science, surveillance, and mixed methods research. She has over fifteen years of experience designing and implementing studies using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to understand substance use behaviors. Dr. Coleman joined FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products in 2012, where her work focused on survey development for tobacco use behaviors in national studies, including engagement in cross-HHS efforts to develop best practices in electronic cigarette use measures. Since transitioning to the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research in 2021, Dr. Coleman has led a multitude of research grants and contracts aimed at exploring substance use behaviors among adults and integrating qualitative and mixed methods approaches to better understand adult drug users’ lived experiences with substance use and overdose reversal agents.
