Maranda Dillon is a highly qualified board-certified Nurse Practitioner at GI Associates & Endoscopy Center/GI Alliance in Flowood, Mississippi. She is the lead APP over the IBD Center and infusion center, serving over 300+ infusions monthly. With over seven years of dedicated experience in gastroenterology, she is passionate about inflammatory bowel disease, demonstrating a deep commitment to patient care, quality outcomes, and education in IBD. She specializes in treating patients newly diagnosed with IBD and those with a long-standing history of IBD.
Maranda's nursing career began with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College in 2004 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2009. She pursued further education, earning a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2017 and recently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Alcorn State University in 2023.
Her extensive nursing background includes 21 years of diverse experience in interventional radiology, emergency medicine, and the intensive care unit, significantly enhancing her clinical skills and patient care capabilities. Maranda served as nurse manager of an interventional radiology department and later as an NP in interventional radiology before moving to GI.
In addition to her clinical role, Maranda actively participates in professional organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, and the American Gastroenterological Association. Through these affiliations, she collaborates with fellow professionals to advance the nursing practice and enhance the role of advanced practice providers in gastroenterology and IBD. Maranda is the sub-investigator for several IBD clinic trials.
