Ravish Sachar

Dr. Ravish Sachar is the physician-in-chief of the UNC-REX Heart and Vascular Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Intervention at The Cleveland Clinic. His clinical interests include carotid artery stenting, acute stroke intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, and critical limb ischemia. He is actively involved in clinical research and has published extensively. He is a frequent lecturer at national and international conferences, and has directed several teaching programs on carotid artery disease and peripheral vascular disease. He has authored two textbooks on peripheral vascular intervention. He is the founder and CEO of Contego Medical LLC, a Raleigh, NC based medical device company which has developed a novel embolic protection platform, and holds more than 40 issued or pending patents. He is also the founding member and Managing Director of Rex Health Ventures, a hospital based VC fund focusing on the healthcare space.
