Rick A. Allgood is the Captain of EMS Quality Management with the Indianapolis Fire Department, bringing over 20 years of experience as a firefighter and paramedic. In his current role, he leads system-wide quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, with a particular focus on reducing opioid overdose deaths in Indianapolis. Rick holds a degree in paramedic science and is a faculty member for the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) Quality Improvement course, where he provides expert guidance to EMS agencies nationwide in developing and implementing evidence-based quality improvement projects. His dedication to advancing EMS quality has earned him national recognition, including the 2021 NAEMSP Quality Improvement Award.
