Mike Verkest has more than 29 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services, serving in roles ranging from frontline paramedic to clinical coordinator, field training officer, and EMS leader. Throughout his career, he has been deeply committed to advancing education, training, and quality improvement in prehospital care. Mike is widely recognized as the co-host of *The EMS Show* podcast with Dr. Ritu Sahni, where he engages a global audience of EMS professionals in candid conversations about clinical practice, leadership, and the future of out-of-hospital medicine. Mike has also served as the co-host of both the EMS Lighthouse Project Podcast with Dr. Jeff Jarvis and the SecondShift Podcast with Eric Bauer.
