Michael Dolinger

Michael Dolinger, MD, MBA is an assistant professor of pediatrics and associate pediatric gastroenterology fellowship director at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Michael became the first gastroenterology fellow to be trained and certified in intestinal ultrasound in the United States by the International Bowel Ultrasound Group. He currently directs the Henry and Elaine Kaufman Intestinal Ultrasound Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the first program of its kind in the country created to improve disease activity monitoring in IBD patients. Michael is a co-founder of iUSCAN, the intestinal ultrasound group of the United States and Canada and serves on the pediatric and artificial intelligence committees of the International Bowel Ultrasound Group. In addition to performing intestinal ultrasounds for all adults and children with inflammatory bowel disease who visit the IBD center at Mount Sinai, Michael is focused on training and educating gastroenterologists in the USA on the use of intestinal ultrasound, hosting the first intestinal ultrasound training course at Mount Sinai this past fall attended by 36 selected gastroenterologists from leading centers across the United States and Canada. Michael is currently helping to plan the future of intestinal ultrasound research and training for inflammatory bowel disease activity monitoring in the United States and across the globe.
