LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:

• Describe the neurobehavioral burden of emotional dysregulation and related comorbidities in ADHD (eg, anxiety, executive dysfunction), and examine the limitations of current treatments in addressing these challenging symptom domains
• Explain the role of serotonergic signaling in the regulation of emotion and cognition in ADHD, and describe how serotonin interacts with dopamine and norepinephrine pathways to influence treatment targets
• Evaluate novel pharmacologic targets involving serotonergic modulation as emerging strategies to address under-recognized and under-treated features of ADHD
• Apply individualized, developmentally-informed treatment strategies for patients with stimulant intolerance, comorbid symptoms, or residual impairment in clinical scenarios

REQUIREMENTS FOR CREDIT 

To be eligible for documentation of credit for each session attended, learners must participate in the activity and complete the session(s) and overall conference evaluations, as well as post-test(s), if applicable. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit. Your certificate may not load if you are accessing it from a smartphone or if your browser settings do not allow a new tab/window to open.  

Once a certificate has been claimed, physicians and pharmacists may elect for credits to be submitted on their behalf to their boards via additional fields that will appear within the Claim Certificate page. Credits must be submitted through this process to be reported to the American Board of Surgery and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
